our origin

King Cobra Laces was born out of necessity, not in a boardroom, but on the back of a work truck parked somewhere in the California foothills. Our founder, Brian, has spent years working across Northern California as a rural internet technician, taking on everything from tree work and land management to farming on the side. Whether he was climbing poles or clearing land, one thing stayed the same: work boots were a constant — and lacing them up was always a hassle.

Living out of a trailer while working on a farm, Brian found himself constantly taking his boots off and putting them back on, and tying traditional laces over and over just didn’t cut it anymore. No place to sit, no free hands, and no time to waste. So he came up with a simple, effective idea: a single cord system that threads through every eyelet and locks at the top, turning any boot into a secure slip-on.

It made life easier, faster, and just plain smarter. Now, Brian’s bringing that same solution to workers everywhere. Because when your boots are the first thing you put on and the last thing you take off, they shouldn’t slow you down.

Every job starts with putting your boots on. I just made that part easier.” - Brian, Founder
